By entering the Halloween Costume Contest, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions below.

Official Rules for The Anaheim Hotel’s “Annual Halloween Costume Contest” 

NO PURCHASE REQUIRED TO ENTER OR WIN.

1. Eligibility: Open to legal residents of the 50 contiguous United States and Washington DC who as of the time of entry are 18 years of age or older (must be at least age of majority in entrant’s state). Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited by law.

2. Sponsor: The Anaheim Hotel; Good Hope International; and Wincome Hospitality, 1700 S Harbor Blvd, Anaheim, CA 92802.

3. Agreement to Official Rules: By participating in the Contest, entrant fully and unconditionally agrees to and accepts these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor which are final and binding in all matters related to the Contest.

4. How to Enter:

a. Entrants may enter the “Halloween Costume Contest” (the “Contest”) via Instagram by posting an in-costume picture of themselves (or a group) on the grounds of The Anaheim Hotel. Entrants should follow @TheAnaheimHotel on Instagram and ensure that the "Private Account" setting on their social media account is set to "OFF." On your public (unprotected) account, upload your photographic submission (“Submission”), inviting @TheAnaheimHotel as a Collaborator if uploaded as a static post, or tagging @TheAnaheimHotel if uploaded as a Story. Upon acceptance, your post will appear on our profile and count as your entry. Bonus consideration will be given to individuals with top-performing Reels or posts as determined by the judges.

b. Entrants may also enter the Contest by mailing their name, address, and Submission to: The Anaheim Hotel, 1700 S. Harbor Blvd., Anaheim, CA 92802, Attn: Entry for “Annual Halloween Costume Contest 2026.” Entries must be postmarked no later than October 31, 2026, and received no later than November 5, 2026.

c. Entrants MUST tag @TheAnaheimHotel if the post is uploaded as a Story, or invite @TheAnaheimHotel as an Instagram Collaborator if uploaded as a static post, granting permission for the post to appear on the hotel's Instagram feed. Failure to tag @TheAnaheimHotel or invite as a collaborator will automatically exclude the entrant's submission from the contest. By tagging the hotel or inviting it as a collaborator, the entrant grants the hotel permission to repost without liability, financial obligation, or compensation. No exceptions will be made.

5. Entry Limitations & Timing: Limit one (1) entry per person, identified by their individual social media account. If more than one (1) entry is submitted, only the first entry received will be judged. The Contest begins at 9:00 a.m. Pacific Standard Time (“PST”) on August 18, 2026. All Submissions must be received by 11:59 p.m. PST on October 31, 2026.

6. Privacy & Technical Disclaimers:

a. As a condition of entering this Contest, entrants consent to submitting their entry information to the Sponsor. For details regarding Sponsor policies on the collection and use of personal information, visit the privacy policy at https://www.TheAnaheimHotel.com/privacy-policy. By participating in the Contest, entrants acknowledge that they have read and accepted these terms.

b. No mechanically reproduced or computer-generated Submissions are permitted. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, incomplete, or incorrect Submissions. Sponsor is not responsible for technical malfunctions of              telephone networks, computer systems, servers, software, or internet congestion, or for any injury or damage to an entrant's computer resulting from participation or downloading materials in connection with the Contest. All Submissions become the property of the Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned.

7. Judging & Selection of Winners:

a. Submissions will be judged by a qualified panel of judges selected by the Sponsor (“Judges”) based on the following criteria (“Judges’ Criteria”): Creativity/Originality, Special Technique Skill, and Subject/Interest Skill. In the event              of a tie, the entry with the highest score in Creativity/Originality, followed by Special Technique Skill, and finally Subject/Interest Skill, will be declared the Winner.

  • The guidelines below illustrate the factors judges will consider in evaluating Submissions. ALL submissions must be family-friendly:

    • Originality/Creativity: How unique, clever, or inventive is the costume concept, and does it bring a fresh idea to life?

    • Special Technique Skill: How well-executed are the specific details, craftsmanship, makeup, props, or special features of the costume?

    • Subject/Interest Skill: How complete, polished, and high-quality is the overall costume presentation as a whole?

b. Winners will be notified via direct message from the @TheAnaheimHotel Instagram account on or around November 7, 2026. The decisions of the Judges and Sponsor are final and binding in all matters related to the Contest.

8. Winner Prize:

a. Three (3) Prize Winners will each receive one of the following prize packages (the “Prize”):

  • First Prize: A two-night complimentary room accommodation with overnight parking (for one night) and two complimentary breakfast vouchers at The Anaheim Hotel, 1700 S. Harbor Blvd., Anaheim, CA 92802 ($400 USD Approximate Retail Value ["ARV"]).

  • Second Prize: A one-night complimentary room accommodation with overnight parking (for one night) and two complimentary breakfast vouchers at The Anaheim Hotel, 1700 S. Harbor Blvd., Anaheim, CA 92802 ($200 USD ARV).

  • Third Prize: A $100 gift card to The Pizza Press Restaurant ($100 USD ARV). 

b. Total ARV of all prizes offered: $700 USD. Actual retail value may vary. Winners will not receive the difference between actual and approximate retail values. Certain blackout dates, restrictions, and expiration dates may apply.

c. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if an advertised prize becomes unavailable. Prizes are non-transferable and non-redeemable for cash.

9. Submission Guidelines & Rights Granted:

a. Submission Restrictions: Submissions must not:

  • Have been previously submitted to any contest, sweepstakes, or promotion;

  • Contain third-party trademarks, logos, or copyrighted material unless solely owned by the entrant;

  • Promote alcohol, drugs, tobacco, firearms, dangerous activities, or political agendas;

  • Violate any law or contain obscene, offensive, defamatory, or hateful content; or

  • Contain malicious code, viruses, or software bugs.

b. Entrant Warranties: Entrants must submit original work and obtain written permission from any individuals appearing in the photograph (including parents/guardians of minors). Entrants warrant that the photo does not infringe upon any third-party rights.

c. Rights License: By submitting an entry, entrant grants Sponsor a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, non-exclusive license to publish, display, edit, reproduce, modify, and distribute the Submission across digital platforms, social media, marketing materials, and websites without additional compensation, notice, or approval.

d. Publicity Release: Except where prohibited, participation constitutes consent for Sponsor to use the Winner's name, likeness, image, and voice for promotional purposes in any media worldwide without additional compensation.

e. Liability Release & Indemnification: Entrants agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless Sponsor, its affiliates, promotional partners, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents ("Released Parties") from any claims, liability, loss, or damage arising out of participation in the Contest or receipt/use of any prize.

10. Disqualification

a. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any participant who has been convicted of or has pending charges for a felony, crimes involving drugs/alcohol, domestic violence, child endangerment, or who is subject to an active restraining order or arrest warrant.

b. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify anyone tampering with the entry process or operating in violation of these Official Rules. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS.

11. General Conditions & Dispute Resolution:

a. Eligibility Exclusions: Employees, officers, and directors of Sponsor, its parent companies, affiliates, advertising agencies, and immediate family or household members are ineligible.

b. Taxes: Winners are solely responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes. Prizes valued at $600 or more will require an IRS Form 1099.

c. Force Majeure: Released Parties are not responsible if the Contest cannot take place or prizes cannot be awarded due to acts of God, strikes, natural disasters, travel delays, or events beyond Sponsor's reasonable control.

d. Governing Law & Arbitration: All claims and disputes arising out of or connected with this Contest shall be resolved individually by binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association in Orange County, California, pursuant to the laws of the State of California.

e. Platform Disclaimer: This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Meta, Instagram, or any other social media platform.

12. Winner’s List: To request the name of the prize winners, send a stamped, self-addressed No. 10 envelope by October 31, 2026, to: “Halloween Costume Contest 2026 Winner List,” Attention: Marketing and Sales, 1700 S. Harbor Blvd., Anaheim, CA 92802.
